* Launched in 1982, these Scholarships are
merit-based though other important considerations such as quality
of college, field of study, personal character and financial need
are taken into account by the Screening Committees.
* Scholarships are offered at undergraduate, graduate,
and doctorate levels, and are renewable through to graduation provided
that a required standard of performance (cumulative G.P.A.) is maintained.
Progress is monitored carefully through the regular submission of
official transcripts from the colleges concerned.

TECHNICAL
TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS
|
| |
* Introduced in 1995, these awards are directed primarily
at Bahamians who seek to train or upgrade skills in areas where
there is a shortage of well qualified Bahamians in the work force.
Academic proficiency is essential, however.
* Financial need among the applicants in this program
is a particularly important consideration for the Screening Committee
as well as the reputation of school and personal qualities of commitment
and interest.
